Aluminum and Other Types of Metal Blinds

"These metal blinds are really great looking."

Do metal blinds sound very inviting to you? Or do they sound more like something that you’d find on the doors to a factory? Traditionally, this was the case. The idea of having metallic coverings over your windows and doors sounded cold and uninviting. However, because of the recent influx of people loving to adorn their entrances and windows, shrewd companies have decided to try to fill the niche by rethinking things. And do you know what the best part is? They actually did a pretty good job at that. It’s amazing, but they have managed to come up with some great new styles.

The magnetic type is a favorite, as they allow for easy opening and closing. Cleaning them can be a little tricky, though, just as it is on electric motorized types. Both vertical and horizontal are available, as well as faux bamboo if you so desire that look. Bali and roller types are also readily available, but you might have a harder time finding cellular. This is a type that just does not lend itself well to a heavy material like metal. There are 1 inch and 2 inch styles of matchstick and Venetian available, and the aluminum works very well in this configuration. Believe it or not, they have outdoor shutter types, too. You can get fake ones or real ones; though it’s not recommended that you get real as rust would be an issue.

Are you starting to see the possibilities? Metal blinds are a very good alternative to PVC, wood, and fabric. The best part about being aware of all these different materials is that it gives you as the buyer an advantage.  You can shop around for the very best discount. You can keep shopping until you find the cheapest purchase possible. It gives you all the bargaining power.

Hunter Douglas, Graber, and Levelor may soon start to take note of the growing demand for this material, so if you’re on the fence about it, now may be the time to buy.
