Door Blinds for a Pretty Entryway
"I put these door blinds up and I'm glad I did!"
Door blinds are fantastic ways to spice up a plain old glass door. Typically, you’ll see them on glass doors leading to the back patio, but because of how great they are starting to look people are actually starting to put them on every exterior entrance to the house, whether it’s on the front, side, or back. This is good news for you if you’ve ever had any coverings for the doors to your house, because you’ll be a veteran at selecting appropriate looks and buying them for cheap.
If it’s your first time getting a fully functional yet ornate type of curtain for your entrances, then you should know what’s available first. There are blinds and curtains for basically every type of door you could have, whether it’s sliding, French, double, or even automatic. That’s why curtains and blinds are so great; they have such versatility and are always affordable (unless, of course, you’re looking for some type of motorized name brand option).
Some other styles worth mentioning are those that have become extremely popular in the interior portion of curtains. What I mean by this is that somewhere between becoming a door covering and being offered as a window covering, the style got so popular that it warranted a translation. These types are reinforced fiberglass (for outdoor weather, obviously) as well as vertical bamboo slats. There are fabric options, but keep in mind that they will not be the very elegant silk you can hang on your windows inside. They need to be reinforced to be able to withstand the elements. Also, there are plantation and cellular types, of course, as they are now a player even in entry way market.
As always, you can design a custom type if you have the time and money, but faux designer types usually work Just as well. Also, be sure to keep your eyes open for the very best discounts at all times. If you’re patient and open to trying new looks, you might get a great deal and be very happy with it.
